Barriers to institutional purchasing of local foods may apply to many areas in the United States, or may be specific to certain areas. CRAFT conducted a study on barriers in Southwestern Pennsylvania, uncovering unique challenges in our region. This work was funded by  USDA Regional Food Systems Partnership grant awarded to the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council.
