Hannah Horstmyer

Hannah is from Williamsburg, Virginia and went to Virginia Commonwealth University to study political science and German. She then moved to northern New Jersey where she had the opportunity to serve as the Community Engagement Coordinator for Java’s Compost, a local compost pickup service. She served the community through engaging in conversations about food waste and the importance of education, particularly about food waste.

As a Food Studies graduate student and Workshop Coordinator with CRAFT, Hannah plans to apply her passion for education and food policy toward a career that highlights the importance of food access and education.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys shooting 35 mm film, cooking, and just exploring the area she lives.
