We are crafting a better food system by connecting people, knowledge, and place to grow stronger food economies.
CRAFT, Center for Regional Agriculture, Food, and Transformation, is a home for people working to build a more just and connected food system. Based at Chatham University, we support food and farm businesses, partners and organizations through research, business support, and creative collaboration.
Born out of a simple idea: that our region needed a place where research meets real-world practice.
At its heart, CRAFT is about connection: between people and place, ideas and action, vision and implementation. CRAFT is proud to be a little scrappy, a lot persistent, and deeply rooted in the belief that stronger food and farm businesses can, and do, transform economies.
